About

Rastafari Rootzfest is a comprehensive, educational and well-organized Rastafari event that celebrates Rastafari ideology, livity and culture, tells the story of Rastafari struggle for the legalization of ganja, and celebrates the decriminalization.

During December 13 – 15, 2019 a three-day Rastafari RootzFest festival, consumer expo, trade show and ganga competition will be hosted in Negril, one of Jamaica’s most famous tourist resort towns and a global ganja capital. The event will feature educational seminars and information booths for Jamaican businesses and interested persons.

The Rastafari Rootzfest™ Ganjamaica Cup™ will judge top entries from growers across Jamaica by a panel of local and international experts. The Rastafari Rootzfest™ Ganjamaica Cup™ will quantify and qualify classic traditional Jamaican ganja strains destined to become commercially successful products with the further relaxation of Jamaica's cannabis laws. The annual festival will provide a platform for the further development of Jamaica's cannabis industry and establish a path for Jamaican farmers to access opportunities under the law.

The festival will include a Reggae music concert on the first two nights and climax with the Rastafari Rootzfest™ Ganjamaica Cup™ awards ceremony on the final day. Celebrating Jamaica's historical connection to ganja and the protection of Rastafari's sacramental rights under the law.

The Ganja Expo will include booths covering the commerce, culture, and cultivation of cannabis. Ganja Expo booths feature strategic organizations and cannabis related companies. The three day seminar series will include presentations from top speakers representing the government, organizations, investors and growers as well as Rastafari RootzFest international education partner Oaksterdam University.

This event was educational and spiritual ! Ital food and healthy smoothies available and prepared with pure and clean hands and heart! The music was sweet!! Truths and rights ...Legend! No slackness ! Iyahful location...on the water with cool breeze a
I am a registered nurse and found this event to be very medically informative and necessary. I was glad and feel it was important that some of the her/history of this Precious herb was taught; especially how the RastaFarI Istren and Idren endured so much cruel, unjust persecution for the possession and consumption of only a very small amount! Many people are not aware of this. It was the Rasta, who from way back, knew the medicinal and ritual purposes of this Precious herb. So InI give thanks and honour InI Istren and Idren for their teachings, strength, livity and endurance! Good, positive, irie vibes! Ital food and smoothies prepared with pure and clean hands and heart! Music sweet! No slackness.... Legend music! Nyahbinghi drumming! Iyahful location on the water with cool breeze and Iyahful sunset. Lots of arts and crafts, nicely set up tables with chalices, clothing, jewelry, accessories, edibles and sampling of various Precious herbs! Will definitely attend in 2018!!!! Thanks for bringing the Positive to Jamaica again......InI need it! Greatly missed! Blessed ❤️
